Australian government scholarships 2018, how to, application guides and more - There are many scholarships available that are offered by organisations other than UNSW and one of them includes the Australian government, industry partners and organisations in your home country. We've made up this article to describe, guide and share some of these Austrlia Awards/scholarhips available for you and how you can apply to get them successfully.

This is referring to Australian government scholarships for Local and International students. Australia Awards are international scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government offering the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research
and professional development.

2 Search for scholarships

Make sure to select ‘International’ in the Residency search box to see the list of scholarships available to you. To be considered for a scholarship, you must submit a separate application in addition to your admission application for UNSW.

3 Register for your chosen scholarship

Before applying for your chosen scholarship, first register an account by following the instructions on
the page. You need to have lodged an application for admission at UNSW to be able to register and apply for a scholarship.

4 Apply for your chosen scholarship

To apply, log in using your login ID (e.g. z1234567) and password (e.g. zPass).

UNSW program codes, how to find, generate and use for new students or applicants -
We'll explain and show you all you need to know about how to sign up, get and use your UNSW Login ID.

The UNSW Official website has a separate platform known as Identity Manager. This site manages everything that has to do with creating your ID - UAC, reset passwords, other changes and activities etc that has to do with your account with UNSW official website.

NOTE: If you're NOT NEW and already have a working UAC ID/Login info, please do not use this Identity Manager page to register anymore, simply go to the Identity manager homepage and login from there.

To confirm your identity you will need to enter the appropriate information in the form below and they will match this to the data held in the UNSW official website's system. If you do not know the required details, please contact the appropriate person in UNSW administration (i.e. Student Admissions, your departmental supervisor etc.)

FOR NEW APPLICANTS/STUDENTS - Local / Australian Students

As a new user/student, registration at the UNSW Identity Manager is almost very simple,  go here to start your Registration.

As seen after viewing the clicked link, the page is mainly for local students (Australian) /people interested in working or studying at UNSW, so you'll provide your:

  • Date of Birth
  • Australian home address's Postcode - 4 digit Australian postcode only e.g. 2032

Finding your UAC codes 

Finding your UAC codes - For UNSW local and international Students is made easy. Go to this page, you'll see a list of all courses/programs offered, select your own and copy the UAC Code.

After then you may come back to finish up your registration if you have not.

MyUNSW Application Online and Scholarships Registration Guide - This article briefs and explains the basics on how to register for future students of UNSW in Australia, it applies to both local and international students. Therefore, upon using this guide, you'll get a step-by-step guide on how to go about your applications/registration online for fresh UNSW Scholarships. Including all you need to know that is required to apply for the entry into UNSW to study for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs (degrees) at Australia's best global university, UNSW in Sydney.

Before you can login to your UNSW account, you would be any of the following below:

  • A UNSW student
  • Or a UNSW student/staff

If you're not a UNSW student, then you can apply using the instructions as shown here below.

We are assuming that you're interested in applying as a new UNSW student through Scholarships, then this guide is for you. Follow the steps carefully below.

1. Open the UNSW My Application Online official site

There are 2 modes through which you can apply - 

a. Applications through UAC - As an already registered student of UNSW

b. Domestic Undergraduate (includes high school leavers), Domestic Postgraduate and 

International: - This applies to new local and international  students seeking for admissions into UNSW via Scholarships.

Now you might be get stuck at the UAC application/login numbers, how you can generate or find your UAC Codes displayed on this page.

Under UAC/Student number use your nine digit UAC Application number (e.g.123456789).

If you do not yet have a UAC Number, please temporarily use a 9 digit number - e.g. your Board of Studies number with a leading "1" (e.g. "112345678") or alternative number. You MUST ensure you update this to a valid UAC Number as soon as you receive it and prior to submitting any scholarship applications.

2. Direct Applications to UNSW

International: Under UAC/Student number enter two zero's followed by your seven digit UNSW Student ID without the "z" (e.g. 003112233).

All other Domestic Postgraduate and External Honours applicants Under UAC/Student number enter two zero's followed by your sevent digit UNSW Student ID without the "z" (e.g. 003112233).
Please note when logging back into the website after you have registered, your "Login Type" is classified as 'I am not a UNSW Student' you are then required to enter your nine digit number that you have registered with (e.g.003112233).

3. Select Future UNSW Students (Local and international)

4. On the Section asking for Your Login ID, move the right side and input your UAC code (how to find your UAC code is here).

5. Proceed to create your password,
Further scroll down and input your correct details for your Contact Details, Email Address, Contacts details,
Student Type & Citizenship etc.

Be sure all information you provide are correct before clicking Submit.
